Minister Tangela White-Hinton
Minister Tangela White-Hinton is a native of Macon, Georgia where she was educated in the Bibb County Public System. She is the only child of Deacon and Mrs. Samuel White, Jr. She received Christ at an early age and was nurtured in her Christian walk by the St. Luke Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. A graduate of Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in 1988. While attending this University, she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta and Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Societies and a member of the Georgia Sociological Association. After relocating to Gastonia, North Carolina in 1991, she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and completed a certification in Middle School Education. In 2012 she graduated from Gardner Webb University with a Masters of Arts with a concentration in School Administration. Currently she is employed with the Gaston County School System as an Assistant Principal.
After serving as a speaker for many years, she finally accepted her call to the preaching ministry. Minister Hinton preached her initial sermon on September 29, 2002 and was licensed by the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She has a love for people and for the building up of God’s Kingdom especially at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. This love is evident as she currently serves in the capacity of Christian Education Director, TBC Ministerial Staff, Coordinator of the Women’s Ministry and Conference Committee, teacher of the TBC Single’s Class, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, and in other areas of the church. In the past she has served in numerous other capacities of the church including Director of Children’s Bible Study, a member of the Children’s Meditation Committee, teacher of the TBC Couples’ Class, Vacation Bible School Co-Chair and a member of the Hymn choir. She has facilitated at numerous churches for Women Conferences, Workshops and other special services.
Minister Hinton is married to Dr. Benjamin Hinton, the Senior Pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church located on 519 West 19th Avenue, Gastonia, North Carolina. They are proud parents of two sons, Benjamin Samuel, II and Nathaniel Robert Hinton. She is a chosen and anointed vessel of God committed to the work of God’s Kingdom Agenda. Her greatest desire is to be all that God has destined for her to be as she seeks to please Him and to live a Christ-Centered life that gives God the Glory.
