Summer Study
July 1-31, 2024
For July, we’re taking a small summer break to reset, refuel, and rejuvenate. Dr. Hinton is requesting everyone to use the next 31 days to declare “31 Biblical Declarations for a Resilient Faith.
The focus of this lesson is to help believers understand the importance of building a resilient faith in Christ, especially in an unchristian world. Since the beginning of this year, we have declared that we are “Anointed to Win!” However, this declaration does not mean we won’t face seasons of faith testing, trials, or challenges as Christian believers. All who follow Christ will experience some of the same challenges He endured for us. We will encounter common earthly challenges, as well as spiritual oppositions like persecution, pressure, stress, and emotional highs and lows.
Through the Word of God, we can learn how to build ourselves up through faith in God’s covenant promises and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit—our Helper, Paraclete, Comforter, Enabler, Peace, Life Coach, Spirit of Truth, Intercessor, and more. As faith believers, we must develop spiritual resilience to stand strong and steadfast in our service to Christ. Following Christ and living for Him will sometimes stretch, try, test, and tempt us beyond what we think we can withstand. But we know God is faithful and will provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We will face crushing moments, as discussed in Bishop T.D. Jakes’ book, “Crushing.” The book of Jude teaches us, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord.” Live in expectation!

Matthew 28:18-20
16-17 Meanwhile, the eleven disciples were on their way to Galilee, headed for the mountain Jesus had set for their reunion. The moment they saw him they worshiped him. Some, though, held back, not sure about worship, about risking themselves totally.
18-20 Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
